stacks... which cut for less cab drone?

i am pretty sure i am gonna order stacks. but i am worried about cab drone.
does the cut change the sound in the cab? i`ve heard that turnouts are quieter in the cab then miter cuts.

This is a tough one...my current stacks are 9-6 to the tips heheheheeee so not bad at all however once upon a time in 01 the stacks were just 6" above the cab and I had them turned out (bullhaulers) complete to the side and they were too loun so I pointed them straight back and it helped alot but I didnt like the look so then I pointed them 45* out right toward the back corners of the bad...lil bit louder but looked better:sen:

The biggest thing that causes drone is having the stack too low. You want the lowest edge of the outlet to be level with or higher than the cab. Turning them toward the back helps also. I have a 45* miter cut and with the lower edge level with the cab its not too bad until I put my foot in it.

I have had miters, turnouts, and now these chicken haulers. I like these the best, but they are also taller then the others. The higher above the cab the quiter.

I think you should have left your stacks in there and just put a muffler on it.
