What is the application and in what vehicle?
|
agreed, more info needed and what are the plans for this vehicle? personally, in a offroad truck built for trailers, i like the 241 combined with the 205, excellant low ratios, great for pulling. but thats in a low torque gasser, in a diesel, id go with the 271(which is under my truck right now) or the 300 with upgraded case and gears.
|
NP271... Why do you think the pullers use them still.

---AutoMerged DoublePost--- if monster trucks can handle a dana 300 im guessing my dodge should be able handle it:humm: |
What monster truck runs an actual Dana 300? All those things are billet cases, billet gears, billet shafts, and high stress bearing. One out of an old CJ ain't gonna cut the muster.

need a new input shaft though for the transfer case
|
I'm pretty sure you just need the 3rd gen slip yoke and rear drive shaft work.

Yes it works, here is a write-up.
Putting a 271 t-case in a NV5600 2nd gen, yes it works - Competition Diesel.Com - Bringing The BEST Together |
