Goerend Transmission

Just wandering who all here has either one of their converters, valve bodies, or a fully built Transmission?

I'll start.

I have a fully built Goerend Transmission. 47RE, tripple disc converter, valve body, billet 1-2 shift lever, billet input shaft, billet intermediate shaft, 48RE clutch drum with extra clutches.

I'll have to say that Dave is the man and stands behind his work. he has an awesome warranty and customer service that is second to none IMHO.

I haven't had a single problem with mine and it's been in for almost 2 years and I've only put 12K miles on it or so, and I don't give it any slack either..... I drive it like I stole it. I don't have to worry about the transmission breaking on me any more :U:

goerend 48re here, billet flex, billet input, billet triple disc, bands, shift lever. valve body, extra clutch pack in both sections...... I don't baby mine at all either, only thing I may add to it in the future is billet output and a trans commander. As stated, Dave is awesome, chatted for about 20 minutes about my truck, my mods, my future mods, driving style and race or not, then I let him make all the suggestions........ shipped all parts to the most local authorized installer and had it done in a day while I waited. :rocking:

That is one thing I like about Dave, he is a down to earth guy, he won't over sell you on what you NEED to put in there and lets you make the ultimate decision on what you buy. I also got the billet flexplate but I didn't go with the billet output shaft. He said I needed a weak link somewhere and that would be better than a driveshaft breaking. Also you can change an output shaft without removing the tranny from the vehicle.

And yes Dave does like to talk, we talked almost an hour when I initially ordered mine, then he called me on a Friday morning when we installed it to go over everything with me again and answer any questions I had, and then about a week later just to check up on me.

I have a Goerend's converter. It's alright.

Only problem with Goerend's is their size; they don't have a receptionist, and I wonder what happens when Dave goes on vacation or retires.

Dave Goerend was a great guy to speak with as stated earlier. Took the time to address my current needs and then went to the future. Not many will take the time to discuss and explain his opinion.

I have a billet flex, triple disk, valve body, billet input shaft, beefed shift levers and drum. Have put around 10,000 miles on since the install. NO PROBLEMS.

You know when she shifts now.

Thanks Dave.:c:
