more about fuel plates.

i have a 12 plate in my truck now all the way foward. i have heard that a 5 plate is best in the 94 auto. whats between the 5 and 12 the ten? if i got a five plate and put it in the middle would there be a gain from the 12 slid all the way? my tranni is stock so i take it easy and dont hod rod around so i just want a lil bigger plate for some more power. better to have the power there and not use it then need it and not have it lol. any one have a extra 5 or some thin i dont want to try to guess and grind mine down.

just get a #100!!!!

12valvetater 08-06-2009 10:29 AM

he has a stock auto which we all know cant take what a 100 has to offer he just wants a touch more so that if he has to pull out hard he can with a little more ease

Then a 4 and a 5 might be too much. I would just cut a 100 and slide it back but thats just me.

Someday guys will understand that a 100 plate is NOT the end all-be all plate for every truck. It does not perform the same when installed in a 160-175hp P7100's as it does in a 215hp P7100.

Also...

If I had a stock truck with a stock automatic like he has I would not run any plate over a 605tq plate.Any more and your asking to rattle the converter and cause failure of the transmission. All the extra power in the world does one no good when you can not apply it to the ground......Andy

P.S.-BTW Bowtech....The old "I do not hotrod my ttruck" statement is one that everyone tries to pass off on us.However, most all of us all know that its a line of BS as soon as your lips start to move and before the comment is ever made.
