Trim = (minor diameter / major diameter) ^2 * 100

is that minor diameter divided by major diameter????, so you would get a decimal number??? what does ^ stand for??? what does * stand for???

that equation dosent seem to make sense, but maybe its just me, its been a long day looking at numbers...........

:iws:
Ya explain it to us like we're in Kindergarten!
My 35/40 center section i have here measures 60mm inducer x 86mm exducer. So 60/86=.697674419..................
Never mind i asked my 14year old son and he explained it to me!:w2:
He had a scientific calculator he showed me how to use.
So it's (60 divided by 86) squared by 2 times100.
So my turbine is 48.67?

"^2" means to the second power.

"*" means multiply

You probably already figured that out by now.
