if you dont have a needle valve in there than you may have a kinked supply line causing a restriction
|
good point i'll check that out, come to think about it i moved the gauge after a day after the install and didn't even think of kinks... you get a gold star for today Whitmore..

Ditch the isolator...
Get yourself a needle valve or pressure snubber and some 1/8" air brake line and life will be good. You can get everything you need from one of our site sponsors: VULCAN PERFORMANCE: http://www.vulcanperformance.com/ser...h-8-NPT/Detail http://www.vulcanperformance.com/ser...Snubber/Detail |
do you have a picture of a snubber i'm drawing a blank on what the heck one is
|
If I had a picture I would have shown it to you. Sorry.
But, its what you need. It dampens pulses from the VP-44 and makes your guage smooth. That one is 1/8" NPT male on one end and 1/8" NPT female on the other. |
thank you going to go see if i have any kinks and hope onto Eric's site and order up some goodies.. does he sell the 1/8" line as well..
|
negative on the 1/8" line, you can get it from virtually any auto/truck parts store. The rest of the fittings (the one at the banjo bolt and the fitting on the guage) can be had at a race/performance shop and possbly a harware store or Grainger.

1/8 inch stuff is at any hardware store in the plumbing supply area.
Just remember, NO TAPE ON ANY OF THE FUEL SYSTEM FITTINGS, PERIOD. |
I like the air brake line much better than regular 1/8" tubing. It generally has more burst strength.
And Permatex #2 or teflon paste on all pipe fitting connections. |
For 1/8 inch stuff I usually just go to the brass fittings in the plumbing section. They will have compression, barbed and threaded fittings to choose from.
