The block heater. He also said on some other forums that he bent half a dozen pushrods on the passenger side and might have an injector not on par with the rest of them. He still hadn't checked the other side to see what was damaged.

Yep thats what he said when I called him yesterday.

Chris from HDR talked to Dmitri a little while ago, and so far that's all he knows that's wrong. He told Chris the truck is at PPE right now. Can't wait to see the next run.

yea i know Dmitri , was this in his new single cab? or his other truck he has had for a while?

This is the original truck. he is getting ready to build the single cab. He is still at PPE. He said he will call me back a little later tonight (07-27-2010) glade you have good taste in friends TPD! I know their are allot of guys that will argue their rig is the best. However; He won the Diesel Power challenge! Because of his truck. I have a huge respect for the Duramax! Steve how did the SpecRite deal work out for Dmitri? is he going to use them?

That's amazing! Dimitri is an amazing guy and has put alot of time into that truck. It was awesome to meet him and watch him run here in Albuquerque back in March

did you guys see his run at industrial injection? hit 1702 with 600 of it nitrous... made it look easy but i heared he knows the owners that brought out the trailer dyno and they loaded the fuck out of it..
didnt get to witness it but saw the video.. did however see the dmax that towed the dyno there blow a freeze plug i think that was what it was

That is a masterpiece, right there. :rocking: Were there any torque numbers, or was the torque beyond dyno measurement? Still new to the bomber scene, haha.

id love to see what kinda numbers he can put down in the 1/4 mile. i bet that would be one hell uva ride down the strip.

Impressive numbers but how much power can the motor make without breaking?? If you can't make a sled pull or make a 1/4 mile run its kinda worthless in my world.

I saw him dyno about 2 or 3 yrs ago and was somewhere around 800 without giggle juice.

No it's made around 1200 on fuel IIRC. The truck has also held the power fairly well from what I've heard. Ran 10.70's in his crew cab last year, supposed to be coming out with a single cab this year. Time will tell.......

He's gone up from the last time I saw him that's for sure. That red bowtie is wicked.

I think he ran somewhere near 11.00 flat on the trailer tow in the power challenge. Pretty darn good runnin truck... :tu: to Gainer!

I'd sure like to know what these people do for a living. I don't see how any normal man could afford to have a truck like that.

The owner of duramini is a working stiff like us. He has his hands into everything that has to do with trucks.
