How to dyno?

I've never been at or near a dyno, I've seen tons of vids. How the the whole routine go?

They have you pull up until the back wheels are over the roller or rollers, then strap the back end then chalk the front end. If there is a door on the other side, the leave the front wheels unchalked in case the straps give out. The then clamp a tach right next to the harmonic balancer for the dyno readout. They then set a bug blower in front of the truck to help keep the engine and transmisson cool during the runs. Depending on the dyno operator, the wait till the converter locks before they wind the engine up or they do so at the get go. Usually they have you run the pedal, but a few operators
take the drivers seat (liability reasons).

Usually do it in direct gear. If you have a large turbo alot of guys will drag the breaks to help it light.
