just get a new rear end and springs, and find a dually front end or at least just switch out the hubs. wheel adapters just arent as trustworthy as a true dana dually axle

Dodge actually uses an adaptor for the front wheels, take a close look at the front wheel setup and you will see it is just an adaptor.

The best front wheel adaptor kits on the market can be found at WheelAdapter.com is your number one source for wheel adapters, wheel spacers, used wheels, and wheel studs. Call Fred, he is a GREAT GUY, he will make them any way you want them, and has TONS of experience. Magnum series adapters are the best that money can buy.

I have seen the Magnum adapters used on truck for dually conversions for 30-40 years without one problem. I personally did a 1988 Ford with the Magnum adapters in 1990, it is STILL on the road, and going down it with no problems.

The Dodge dually axle is just under 2ins per side longer than your SRW axle, 2in adapters, or 2-1/2in adapters on the rear will be what you are looking for, you will have good spring pack clearance with the 2-1/2in ones. The front adapters are standard length.

You will be able to run any 17" dually wheel with the 8x6.5 lug pattern, to include the direct bolt up 19.5's as well, and they can be a 6.75 wide wheel when you use the 2-1/2in rear adapter.

The factory dodge front hub adapters will bolt right up exactly like a dually. Then either 2 in spacers or find a dually rearend. I used some 2 in adapters off ebay and hauled a 310se John Deere backhoe. Then I found a rearend. For the springs I still have 2500 with airbags.
