What specifically would you like to know?

DB Admin 08-05-2009 07:34 PM

why everyone i know has had to replace it for melted vanes , things stuck open ect..ect..

Most of the turbo issues are a result of carbon build up. Contributing factors are short trip operation where the engine never reaches operating temperature and stays there for some length of time, extended idle times, and I have the opinion that the new UL sulphur diesel fuel also contributes to the problem. Reason being is that carbon is a by product of incomplete combustion and the new fuel doesn't burn as efficiently as prior fuels.

I hope this answers your questions. I cover all of this and diagnostics for turbo problems in my class.
