FALL BRAWL 2009..."Take Calculated Risks!"

Its that time AGAIN!!!.....
The Mason-Dixon Turbo Diesel Clubs Annual Fall spectacular....

FALL BRAWL 2009......."Take Calculated Risks."

The Mason-Dixon TDC would like to extend our invitation to all who desire to participate in this great end of the year show. This is our annual 2 day dyno competition which hosts some of the finest examples of diesel powered Trucks from all over the country.

The Dates.....Saturday & Sunday October 17th-18th-Rain Or Shine
The Place......SGS Automotive & Performance
901 Range End Road
Dillsburg,PA 17019
(717)502-8880
SGS Automotive
The Cost.......$70 for 3 spins with HP/TQ readings.

Remember stack equipped owners we would like you to drop your flex pipes if possible or allow us to some way vent the soot outside. Also we would like the dually owners to drop their outside tires off which allows us to move trucks in and out more efficiently.Tools will be provided by SGS to accomplish this and all we ask is to put them away when finished. The shop is also available for those who have last minute goodies to do or install and all they ask is that you dyno sometime that weekend. We did a great job at the spring show with the extra work and it showed when we were done, which we received many thanks for our professionalism.

Also..
We will having a covered dish cookout for those attending and we ask that you bring something along to share with the group for the weekends activities. It has been noted that we are having issues with not enough food for the amount of people who do come and we as a club are looking at ideas to change that for this show.So please be advised that there may be a change in the lunch procedure for this show and from now on as a few have ruined it for the others. The lunch update will follow at a later date however if you are planning to come and bring something, please post it so we can add you to the list.

Classes for the show....
Other than the "1st Generation Modified",which will remain intact, we will be splitting up some of the other classes in the interest of fairness and competition.I will be posting the rest of the classes as we get them finalized and will ensure to get them up asap. The rules for the first generation class will remain the same and it will be posted then also. There will be NO show-n-shine as it has been a terrible flop the last few years.

So we have the dates and now we need to people to come out and enjoy the falls best dyno roll.See You All Soon.........Andy

Classes for the "Brawl"....
With the performance of the CP3 equipped trucks and their tuning capabilities we will be splitting them off into their own class this way the playing field can be leveled out a little better.Hope this make the competition a little better and allows the older trucks a even chance when they compete amongst themselves. So your classes will be as follows......

"1ST GENERATION MODIFIED"
The rules for this class will be as follows......
This class will be open to all trucks listed below...
1989-1993 Dodge 1st Generation Diesels
????-1997 Ford Diesels
????-2000 Chevy/GMC Diesels(NON-Duramax motors)
All trucks must be equipped with engines and fuel pumps which came on the trucks from the factory(ex-No P-Pumps On 1st Gen Dodges,No Cummins swap trucks).#2 Diesel ONLY.....NO DRUGS!!!!!!(If owners have meth kits, nitrous or propane they MUST show the bay operator that they are OFF or disconnected).SINGLE Charger OR Supercharger ONLY...NO TWINS Or Turbo/Supercharger combos permitted.ANY Internal pump mods allowed,ANY Injector Allowed,Fuel Pusher Pumps legal.Over the counter fuel additives ONLY.Hoods must be closed during run.

MODIFIED-This class is limited to a SINGLE turbo with NO PUMP CONVERSIONS(example:A 24 Valve single turbo truck with a P-Pump installed)and on #2 ONLY.The use of over the counter fuel additives is permitted but NO DRUGS(this includes meth injection and water misters).Aftermarket chargers, fueling boxes, injectors and pusher pumps are all legal.Owners who run single chargers and use drugs may compete as long as their bottle has been disconnected or removed, these owners will be asked to show they did this when they enter the dyno room.Superchargers are permitted in this class ONLY if they are run by themselves and are not being used with a turbo.

COMPETITION-This class will allow any fuel pump combination(example:P-Pump conversions),any charger(twins included) or supercharger and run on #2 alone.Over the counter fuel additives permitted but NO DRUGS(this includes meth injection and water misters).Any injector, fueling box, aftermarket turbos(twins permitted) and pusher pumps are ok.Owners who have drugs may compete but must disconnect their bottles or tanks and will be asked to show this when they enter the dyno room.

UMLIMITED-Run What Ya Brung...This is the "Don't Bring A Knife To A Gunfight Class".
Any fuel, charger configuration any amount of drugs can be used here. The only rule here is the HOOD MUST close and latch tightly. This is for safety reasons as we have seen the aftermath of a head-gasket explosion with the hood open.

The NEW classes....

CP3 Modified.....
This will cover ALL trucks who utilize a SINGLE OEM/Modified CP3(i.e-Grand Pooh-Bah style pumps are NOT legal)and SINGLE Charger or SuperCharger. To be run on #2 ONLY with the only additive allowed is approved over the counter fuel additives,NO DRUGS!.Any fueling box, electric fuel pump and fuel injector are legal.Owners who run single chargers and use drugs may compete as long as their bottle has been disconnected or removed, these owners will be asked to show they did this when they enter the dyno room.Superchargers are permitted in this class ONLY if they are run by themselves and are not being used with a turbo.

CP3 Competition.....
This will cover ALL trucks who utilize MULTIPLE CP3's and single/mutiple charger combinations or any combination which uses a supercharger.Over the counter fuel additives permitted but NO DRUGS(this includes meth injection and water misters).Any injector, fueling box, aftermarket turbos(twins permitted) and pusher pumps are ok.Owners who have drugs may compete but must disconnect their bottles or tanks and will be asked to show this when they enter the dyno room.

CP3 Unlimited.....
This is the class that allows ANY combination of fuel chargers/fuel/drugs.This is the "Do NOT Bring a Knife To A Gun fight!" class. The only rule is,CLOSE THE HOOD!.

Hope that will allow a better show for all of us to enjoy........Andy

Well Gang....
Time is drawing closer to the fun to be had.It appears we may have some inclement weather and if so we ask that you PLEASE be respectful when going in and out of the upper fields so we can try and limit the chances of damage.Forecast is for temps in the 40's with rain and possible snow showers so we will have cool air to make power with but the humidity may hurt us some.

We will go rain or shine until we finish each day.We will try and get started between 8 and 9 am each day and want to finish on Sunday by around 3pm so we can do the trophies. Please remember that if your on top of your designated class to stay to collect you trophy if you win.We do not desire to ship any of the winners trophies out for obvious reasons as we do not want to chance them being damaged during shipping.

Dually owners will need to drop off their outside tires and the tools needed will be there to assist you.Stack owners will either need to drop their flex pipes or allow us to slip the exhaust pipes over/inside to get the smoke outside. We thanks those owners greatly for the help with these two matters.

Trucks will be staged outside the dyno bays by your T times and we would only want 4-6 trucks there at a time. Please make sure you have heat in the motor also before you get into the bay and if its raining and you were parked on the hill try and make a quick trip down the road to ensure your tires are free from mud.

I have to work on Friday Night and will be a tad late getting there but Greg will be starting the day in the bay so keep him busy.Hope to see you all there......Andy

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE WINNERS!!!!!!!!!!!

There you have it folks all tidy and neat for ease of looking at.I will slip back in later and drop my notes of thanks to all those who deserve it and to those businesses who helped us out tremendously. For those who came and braved the weather during the weekend, they seen a great show and each year they keep getting better...........Andy

Hammer 10-18-2009 11:10 PM

I'd like to start this off first by saying thank you to the ENTIRE crew from the SGS Performance shop.Once again the guys trudged through some very nasty weather which allowed us to have a show worth remembering. Its their continued support, dedication to hard work and professionalism that makes these shows get better each year.So a HUGE THANK YOU goes to all of the SGS crew and their Ladies as without them our shows would not be as flawlessly run as they are.

The Mason-Dixon Turbo Diesel Club would also like to send our thanks and gratitude to those businesses who helped us with the trophies....

NADM
Geno's Garage
Mid-Atlantic Diesel Performance
D-P Tuner
TRE Diesel Performance

We appreciate the help and continued support of our shows from all of them as without them shows like this are difficult to put on.THANK YOU!!!

Also needing noted is the NADM for their added support which gave us the ability to add someone to a couple of their HP clubs. It was a very nice addition to our show and many did not know I even had them as I kept it under wraps until today.THANK YOU NADM!!!!.

We also had the fortune of having a gift certificate to give away from the fine people that own SupertruckUSA.com.Craig Jaros contacted me about two days before the event and asked if he could help with a certificate and dropped it off.The club placed all of the dyno cards you filled out into a box and had one pulled which was won by Travis Sanderson. So as we welcome a new business to support the club we also say THANK YOU to Mr.Jaros for the help and support of the show.

Lost among all the fun was the hard work that our resident chefs did while cooking under a canopy in the pouring rain Saturday.Chef Jim and Chef Keith, along with apprentice Chef Larry, who helped all weekend long, did a marvelous job working through some tough conditions to feed the masses. Thanks guys again for a great job wheeling the big grill your hard work is always appreciated!.

The last two things here I would like to say is THANKS to ALL of the Mason-Dixon TDC members who help make this show what it has become today. We have come along way since 2001 with these events and its because of the support all of you give me which make the show such a success. The other thing which NEEDS to be recognized is how well the crowd was behaved and how well they helped us keep the property in good shape. We all know how bad the upper field would be with 4 days of straight rain and Saturdays downpours yet you people managed to drive in and out as easy as possible and it kept the damage down to a minimum.having gotten a chance to wander around today to see for myself it was really in good shape considering what it could have been and even the SGS crew was impressed with how well you all did navigating it.Thanks for taking great care of the property as it was noticed by all of us and appreciated by the SGS crew.

Last but not least the participants and spectators who braved the elements..
While this was only the 2nd year we have had nasty weather I was very worried with the forecast that we would have a light show. With the count Saturday of 110 trucks on the property and 50 on Sunday I'd say we did really well considering the weather. Its all of you who come out that make the show and we as a club appreciate all of you for the continued support of our shows. So under tough weather conditions you all amazed me again and made the show a HUGE success and for that you deserve a big THANKS from all of us.Next year can only get better and we look forward to seeing you all again then...........Andy
