Spring Meltdown Dyno Day

TI Dyno and Grand Rock will be holding their 2nd annual Spring Meltdown Dyno Day. BUT with the economy the way it is, we figured it would be best to let you guys determine which date to hold our event. So there will be 3 dates to choose from, and please vote for the "BEST" date for you. If you are open for any of the other dates, I will leave the voting open for multiple votes. Thanks in advance guys!

Oh, once we know what the date is, we will post the event information!

Racer9 03-29-2009 08:23 AM

I'm up for any of 'em, but chose May 2nd, just to be sure of good weather, (and give me plenty of time to finish a few mods :w2:).
Any chance of another diesel day at Thompson?

dieseldude03 03-29-2009 09:16 AM

May 2nd sounds good. Couldn't make it last year because I had to work, now I'm friggin' laid-off!:argh: May not have the $$$ to do any pulls, but I guess I can watch and hang out for a while.:U:

Racer9 03-29-2009 10:49 AM

It's pretty cool to just watch, and check out other guys trucks. I just watched and BS'd the last couple times, but I plan to run this time.

Good deal. I should have a decision here shortly on which dates we will do. It looks like May 2nd is winning the polls. As for Thompson. Yes, the NHRDA will be in Ohio again, with an open house here at Grand Rock, and Racing on Saturday at Thompson. We're hopeing to do a truck pull on Sunday afternoon as well. We'll see about that one though.

Yep, lots of guys will come to just shoot the word around. It's alot of fun, and you meet alot of members off of this forum, and others.

Racer9 03-31-2009 02:38 PM

I guess winning with only 2 votes is better than nothing :humm:, but that date will also give some time to get the word out.

Very true. I have this same poll on 3 other sites, an I'm getting the same date requested.

Usually they are $55 for 3 runs, and if you're a NHRDA member, he's taking $10 off the cost! Very small world! Look forward to seeing you out there.

DieselWeasel 04-13-2009 12:09 PM

Cool, good deal but since im stock its probably not really worth running it yet. Shouldnt you be working? LOL!

crzycowboy 04-13-2009 12:22 PM

LOL I am working...answering questions in the forums we sponsor is one of my job duties...:U:

Still going to have the event if it rains? Accuweather isn't being very friendly to May 2nd.

Yep, the dyno is an inground Mustang Dyno. The only thing he asks is not to bring muddy tires on the dyno. They can dry off the tires usually with no problem, to ensure there is no tire slippage on the dyno. TI Dyno will also have a few ez-up's up for people to keep dry out doors as well. :U:

DieselWeasel 04-21-2009 08:57 PM

This just going to be a gathering centered around the dyno or will there be things for sale and such (tuners, exhaust and so on)?

Good Question...I'm not sure who else will show up yet for the event. TI Dyno hasn't notified me of any other vendors being there, but that's ok with them, they sell almost every thing anyways. He doesn't stock anything, but he can get it in like 2 or 3 days usually. I'll be calling them later to see if there are any other dealers showing up. Mumau Diesel may be there handing out business cards and what not, they sell all kinds of stuff for the Cummins. I'll also see if I can get any of the local shops want to help sponsor this event as well. :pca1:

dieseldude03 05-01-2009 08:52 AM

So where's this being held at?

You can find all the information here:

https://www.dieselbombers.com/great-...ay-2009-a.html

Hope to see you out there! :U:

dieseldude03 05-01-2009 11:19 AM

I'm gonna try. It's 136 miles and 2 1/2 hours away from Mansfield, but I don't think I have anything better to do.:U:

crzycowboy 05-01-2009 11:23 AM

Sounds cool...just leave your dog cujo (in your avatar) at home..he don't look to friendly...LOL

dieseldude03 05-01-2009 11:42 AM

LOL. Actually Klondike is about the most laid-back mutt on the planet. He rides just about everywhere with us. Even been to Yellowstone and Moab, UT a couple times! Thats just one of the games he likes to play. He'll push his muzzle under my chin until I start gnawing on it. Soon as I do, the teeth come out. I stop and he flops his paw on my leg and shoves his face under my chin until I start chewing on him again. Don't know why he likes it so much, but for some unknown reason, he can't get anyone else to play! :humm::w2: Makes for a good avatar pic though.:U:

crzycowboy 05-01-2009 12:13 PM

Oh, ok then..he's welcome to come!

Racer9 05-02-2009 05:58 PM

Ya'll missed a great day. I'm happy to say I won 1st place "most torque":rocking:
Only got beat by 29 for most hp. Prize was a new truck, thanks Grand Rock Pipes.

Ok, really not a new truck!

dieseldude03 05-02-2009 07:08 PM

I sure wanted to come up but I ended up having to help the old man down on his farm. Bunch of small projects he couldn't do on his own. Oh well. Nice day for working outside. So what kind of numbers did you post?

Racer9 05-02-2009 07:40 PM

306/743

dieseldude03 05-02-2009 07:44 PM

No idea what mine would do. Never been on a dyno. Someday maybe.

tjl 05-02-2009 09:58 PM

I won first place for most horsepower :rocking: 337/670
Had a good time today. It was nice seeing everybody.

Racer9 05-03-2009 08:08 AM

We had a good time, didn't we!!!
Where can I get the video, Josh?

tjl 05-03-2009 01:59 PM

Yep he usually posts them on his you tube page.

dieseldude03 05-03-2009 02:04 PM

Really wish I could have been there now. Think Dad should have waited till today for his projects!:madd: How many trucks were there?

Racer9 05-03-2009 02:32 PM

We were looking for you, and your dog.

Well, there was me and my Cummins, and TJL with his very clean Powerstroke, and another Powerstroke guy who didn't want to run.
So that makes two that actually dyno'd.

tjl 05-03-2009 02:32 PM

:lol88::hd:ummmmm . . . . wellllll . . . . . there were 2 trucks there

We had a total of 4 trucks. 2 dynoed, and two watched. The last guy got there a little late though...he got stuck watchin' a lil' Honda spin the rollers. :argh: Kevin at TI Dyno an I talked a little bit about this event, and we both agree that if we do another one this year, we will be sure to try an advertise on the radio, or print up some flyers. But I had a 0.00 budget for this event. We still plan on haveing another dyno day in October when we do "Rocktober" fest, we hope for a better turn out. There is also a possibility of one in July, the same weekend as the Grand Rock/Powerflow Ohio Truck Rally, a NHRDA race. So we'll see, an I'll keep everyone posted. :U:

Yeah, great pics and video's. A real good look at TJL's very clean Powerstroke.
I'm glad the pics of my truck are kind of fuzzy, or is my truck fuzzy?:w2:

crzycowboy 05-06-2009 02:36 PM
