Spring Dyno Day in Buda, TX

For all of you in the TX area, it's time for the spring dyno in Buda,TX. Hosted by American Racing Technology, Central Texas Diesel, and Death Row Diesel.

Okay everyone, pre-registration is open for the Spring Dyno Day in Buda, at American Racing Technology. This year my crew Death Row Diesel is co-sponsoring the event with the Central Texas Diesel guys. The date is Saturday April 4th and Big Dog event on Sunday the 5th.

Dyno runs will begin at 8:00am Saturday and run till the guys at ART say quit. The cost is $60 for three runs on the dyno. As always, we ask that you pay when your truck gets on the rollers. We are not pre-registering for the Big Dog event until Saturday. The cost for it will be $200 for three runs. The reason for waiting till Saturday is so you can pay your fee, that way we can avoid no shows like last year. We need at least 10 trucks for the Big Dog event. If for some reason we do not get 10 trucks, we will alot time for the big boys to run at the end of the day. That way you at least get to run. We are still working on the awards for this event.

We will have trophys for closest to 350hp, 500hp, and 650hp on Saturday. We are also working on prizes from vendors for the event as well.

We will also have a show and shine event Saturday that will be judged at noon on Saturday. Sign up for that will be $15. You will have to sign up for this Saturday at the sign up booth.

The Three Allen Miracles March of Dimes fundraising team headed up by my wife Bobbie, will have a food booth set up all day on Saturday. They will be serving breakfast tacos, donuts, sausage wraps, hot dogs, nachos, chips, soft drinks, water, coffee and cookies throughout the day for donations.

I guess that's it for now, I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but that's why we're here, to answer questions. LOL

For Pre-Registration, email bobbie@deathrowdiesel.com with your Name, Make of truck, Year, and contact info phone/email. List of mods aren't needed. She will send you a confirmation email with your number, and this will be the number you run on the dyno.

For information about the event you can visit Welcome to Central Texas Diesel or email myself cody@deathrowdiesel.com or chris@deathrowdiesel.com We look forward to seeing you all there.

2500HeavyDuty 03-31-2009 12:19 PM

lol

RubberDuck 04-01-2009 07:48 AM

Okay everyone it's getting close!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately I have one more rule to pass on, and this is a big one.

For everyone using Nitrous...................

If you are going to use nitrous, your hood MUST be closed. And you must be using it in the conventional manner.....i.e. Using solinoids etc.

We WILL NOT under any circumstances allow someone to spray an open bottle of nitrous in an intake of a truck running on the dyno. This seems to be popular for some reason. But it WILL NOT happen at this event. It's unsafe people, and you know it.

That's what was passed on to me. I believe it's a good idea. I don't want our event to be remembered for someone catching a turbo frag in the head.

Use of nitrous in the normal method is just fine, but the hood has to be closed.

Nobody will be allowed to spray nitrous in an intake from an open bottle.

jdugie123 04-01-2009 12:16 PM

darn that was how I was going to get my new turbo hahaha ya I know what you mean they wanted to do that to my truck two years ago since I was the last one

I Cody, personally want to thank all of you for your patients, and understanding. It didn't go as smooth as we had all hoped. But you guys waited it out, and showed over the top class and sportsmanship. Thank you VERY, VERY much.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Also, I would like to thank all of the people that provided me with good or bad feedback. It was ALL noted and I will do my best to use the information wisely.

Finally, the few things that will not cease to bother me.

The lady that expressed her unhappyness about the show and shine results. I'm very sorry that you think the judges I provided were biased and played favorites. But it couldn't be farther from the truth. The guys I had do it knew NONE of the competitors, and they did the best they could with the criteria and info I provided them. I'm sorry you felt cheated, but it was done as fair as I could do it.

The gentleman, that wanted to run on Sunday, and was in the process of taking the duals off. I can't tell you how sorry I am you didn't get to run. And I'm sorry you felt that you wasted your time for 2 days. We ran all the trucks we could, and if I didn't care, I wouldn't have even asked if there was a chance you could run. But you saw me do it. Even though the end result was you could not, and you were angry with me, I still feel bad. I want everyone to have a chance. But with over 130 trucks wanting to hit the rollers, I did the best I could. I hope you can forgive me and give me another shot to provide you with every opportunity to dyno your truck next year.

For all the rest of the run results, we are working on getting it converted from hand written to the computer and should have it posted on CentralTexasDiesel.com later this week.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

And one last thing. Thank you to

FleetFilter.com for all the filters and stickers given away as door prizes

Geno's Garage for your gift certificates as door prizes.

TDR for your badges, stickers provided as door prizes.

I forgot to address Geno's Garage, and TDR as sponsors. PLEASE PLEASE forgive me.

Geno's Garage.
You guys have been with us from the start. Every year you provide us with great prizes to be won. I was actually lucky enough to win one last year. Every time without hesitation, you guys are on board with us. Thank you so very much for your support.

TDR
I believe that the organization that you started is what spawned this whole event. Without your support over the years, none of this would have happened. For help like that, there are no words..........But thank you from all of us.

Again, Bryan, from Fleet Filter, I already got ya, but thank you again.

jdugie123 04-07-2009 09:07 AM

sounds like it was a great event this year wish I could of made it again this year but few things happened that kept me away. Hopefully next year I can make it. Did you get any video of any of the runs or anything?

Texas_Outlaw 04-07-2009 09:39 AM

Yall missed a good one. Lots of fun and lots of trucks. RubberDuck ran my truck on the dyno for me and was able to get 442hp and 852tq :choochoo: out of my truck. Not bad concidering I dont even have $1500 in it. Had a great time and can't thank the sponsors enough. The Deathrow Diesel crew was hard at it all weekend and RubberDuck is one hell of a guy to do what he did on Sunday night for my buddy. Great turn out and will definately be there for it again next year.

Valair1 04-10-2009 07:00 PM

Rubber Duck is a saint. IMO We all could learn something from Cody.

Rollin Smoke Diesel 04-13-2009 04:22 PM

A BIG THANKS goes to go you guys Cody for pulling off such a great event. I'll make the drive down next year (if the wife doesn't schedule a vacation around the event again :bat:)

Some kid was arrested and hauled off to jail during the burnout contest. What was illegal about this organized burnout contest? Why was he arrested?
