Dodge Dakota 4bt conversion

Looked into doing a conversion with a Toyota Tacoma ended up costing a liitle too much for me.
I'm now looking at a possible swap with a dodge dakota and a cummings 4bt.
Looking at using a 2000-2005 dakota 4x4 quad cab with a V8 and manual transmission.
My question is will the engine bolt up to the existing tranny and is it possible to use existing motor mounts?
Will this need a whole new tranny, front and rear axles to handle the 4bt?
thanks

a 4bt is about 750 lbs dry no accessories. you,ll have to fab engine mounts, rad lines. if you have a 47rh trans then you,ll be ok anything less wont hold it as its very torqey. you,ll need 3.08 gears possibly up to 3.73 as you,ll have O.D. YOU,LL NEED TOTAL CUSTOM EXHAUST, fuel lines, 6bt power steering pump with vac pump plus more. expect to have 5-10k in it when done not including tk. i,ve done a bunch but not in a dakota

i dont know about 5 to 10 grand, i did a 6bt swap in my f150 for about 2000 dollars, thats assuming you do your own work, thats with engine trans driveline, radiator, intercooler exhaust motor mounts trans mount and wiring and a new battery. my suggestion would be find a dodge truck complete with a bad 6bt in it for around 1500-2000 dollars and use all the parts from it. the most expensive thing is going to be finding a 4bt.
