easiest 12v ve conversion with at least 4 doors?
Hi I wondering what is the easiest and least expensive swap? I have plenty of Cummins parts, axels, TCases, trans. I drive an 93 Dodge 4X4 5-sp extended cab, I just want a huge SUV or 4 door truck, or ext cab that that has rear doors? Idealy would be an Excursion? Suburban, 4 dr Ramcharger, Looking for options and opinions and / or a 4 door donor truck... Thanks

Older crew cab chevy like 85-87 or an 99 and newer superduty or the excursion....the old chevy wap is easy as hell I did one in a 72 and its sweet

Or a mid to late 80's dodge crew cab. Stopped making them when they started offering the cummins. Definitely would be the easiest. And sweet as hell. Hard to find them though.....

It pretty easy into a 92-97 Ford...... but really common as well.

Thanks for some ideas. I would wonder about a 99 to 2003 f250 super duty super cab, short box, with a ZF6, 3.73 ratio, and a kit from fordcummins. All I would need would be the truck? Has anyone here done this? How does it work out? I just need the truck, Artie

And either the ZF6, or use an NV4500 or NV5600 out of a Dodge. The plus to the Dodge transmission is that you would not have to buy an adapter plate, and also, in my opinion, it is a much smoother and better transmission than the ZF6. Nothing against the ZF6, I just like the NV better. |
