1KZ-TE Swap info

Does anyone have info about doing this swap? I have searched around on here and Pirate looking for any info on this particular swap and haven't found anything. :s:I tried several different search words / phrases and have come up empty handed. All assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking to put this in a Jeep TJ

I know about the 4BT and others but I want to go this route. If nothing else I will post mine once I start it after my deployment to Afghanistan.

Thanks
Donald

I have been looking for Toyota and other foreign engine swaps as well, check out my post on here on page 8 https://www.dieselbombers.com/diesel...kup-you-8.html

There are plenty of OM617 swaps, and even OM617 in Toyota trucks, Crazy...
Anyway this site seems to be more oriented to the Cummins crowd, and doing big engine swaps in small trucks, I am seeing allot of 5.9's in f150's. Don't see the benefit of that at all other then just proven that it can be done. The 3.9 4bt in a F150 makes sense though even still the weight is 750 lb's and would require some frame and suspension mounts to last very long.
I am into diesels for there efficiency and as far as I'm concerned even a current stock 6.7 Cummins or ford with 400 hp and 800 lb ft is extreme over kill unless you are towing allot of heavy stuff, and even then only in a F450 or dodge equivalent.

But there are some Toyota sites that have diesel conversion forums

You should look into this, but you may have already. It would be easier....well I was going to send you the link to Burnsville Offroad they had a kit for swapping the 2.8 liberty diesel but I don't see it on there site anymore.

I Totally forgot about Todd in San Antonio, he has worked on my TDI and specializes in diesel swaps. But he does the swaps himself and its not cheap, and he does not give support to DIY projects, but at least you know that it can be done.
