working on air-filter...anyone work w/silicon pipe?

would love to get a fram CA8037 to fit...have a question regarding silicon pipe/reducers.

My stock turbo inlet = 2-3/8 (60mm), would a 2-1/4" or 2-1/2" silicon pipe fit...or should I search for a 2-3/8"?

Never worked with silicon pipes before...never owned a turbo before :p

thanks,
manny

Either size will work, but since the 2-1/4" would have to be stretched it might crack & tear as it gets exposed to heat and hardens over time.

The 2-1/2" would probably be the better choice - you'l have to cinch it down 1/8" with a clamp, but that shouldn't present any problems...

use the stock gasket from the U shaped duct on the stock air cleaner, it fills the space between the silicone reducer and turbo inlet. I have this set up on my Mercedez and it works.
