66 ford f 250 12 valve swap
I've found a truck for my 94 12 valve. First of all, im really curious about some basic questions.about getting started. I guess the major concern is about the eletrical portion. Im not really sure about how hooking up the computer to that old of a truck even gets started. Just wondering the basics of the electrical part for now and will prolly be asking about the complicate questions later when I get to it. Like I said I've just got started so im still workin on gettin the truck together right now. Just lookin for some useful info about getting started thanks

Um... this is a little scary....
12 valves don't need a computer..... AT ALL.... all mechanical...... the dodge PC that came with it you can throw in the garbage.....it does nothing for motor control/fuel etc. except the shut off solenoid.......... |
That's what I wanted to hear:jump:. Ill just need to get a shutoff solenoid for the electrical portion. Did you use any of the parts from the truck itself ( the dodge) like power steering, radiator, etc.

when i did my swap i used all the dodge accessories, the power steering pump, alternator, vaccum pump, and just adapted them to my ford. then you are not messing with mounting brackets.
i did use the ford rad and a powerstroke intercooler tho, basically if it was bolted to the cummins i used it and if it was bolted to the truck i used that. |
Ya I was thinkin about using everything out of the dodge like axles tranny etc.
