converting dodge to diesel
I just bought a 1999 dodge 2500 4X4 truck with a v10 motor i want to do one of two things. the truck has a bad motor and tranny.
OPTION 1: I have a military 6x6 deuce and a half, I really want to put the motor, tranny, transfercase, and front end and rear end in my dodge truck. is this at all possible? im measuring it up and want to know if anyone has done it. Maybe I should keep the dodge front end and rear end in it. OPTION 2: I want to put a second generation cummins 24valve motor in my dodge, will the tranny and transfercase need to be changed with the v10 motor or can I use it. If I want to use a cummins motor and tranny will my v10 transfercase bolt to it? |
Welcome to Diesel Bombers, I'm moving this thread to the conversion section...

put a cummins in the dodge-it,s how god intended things to be-
with the deuce-drop the rear axle, fit a trailer body, and then get some HEMMT wheel and tires on there-they call it ' a bobbed deuce ' you know you want one- |
