Cummins 24 V into 96 K3500 best question ever

Maybe not the best, but something other than the average, "what kit do I need to put a cummins in my chevy" question.

What angle does the motor/drivetrain need to be when I swap this 99 24v into my 96 GMC? I will be purchasing the quad mounts from autoworld, and probably be fabbing or recycling the trans crossmember from the 99 dodge 2500 4wd donor truck, any insight on this will be greatly appreciated and all worthy answers will earn you a free beer if you come to Saint Louis Mo :c:

Lots of people I've seen use a 5 degree back rule of thumb. I've read everything from 3 degree to 7 degree back. A lot of the time it depends on the angle of the output yolk; you don't want to create a bind in your driveline. I think mine is set in at about 5 degrees back, but I intentionally set it back quite a bit so I could get weasle the No.6 valve cover out from under the cowl without having to use a prybar or hammer. :w2:

I'll be in St. Louis the first week of May...:c:
