I know this isnt what you asked for but DESTROKED: Cummins Conversions or fordcummins.com - Increase Horsepower with Ford Cummins Diesel conversion kits is your best best.
Engine mounts are a pretty critical piece of equipment when its holding up a 1200 pound engine. |
yeah ive looked into them, to be honest i would rather build the mounts myself to save some coin. i know they are the most important part of the swap also. i have the skills to build the mount the correct&safe way. i have a pretty good idea in my head of how i want to do it, just dont have the motor to look at yet and just want to get a visual idea on how well it will work as well as see what others have done. but i couldnt agree with you more.

ok, just throwing it out there in case you hadnt seen them
also, fordcummins.com sells a great step by step book that shows every part of the conversion. Might be useful to you. Oh and Welcome :c: |
yeah i plan on ordering a "kit" through fordcummins.com minus the motor mounts. that way i got most of the stuff i need all taken care of. i just like to design & build as many of the parts that i can if it will save some coin
and thank you for the welcome!:c: |
Hey Mr.Trubbs, if you haven't heard of Autoworld in Montana, here's their site Auto World. They are dealers of Destroked's adapters and have their own parts. They also make mounts. Check 'em out.

marine engine mounts
just Google, "Marine Engine Mounts" you will find a heard of high tech vibration free mounts of just about any strength you can imagine. And then you will just have to fabricate brackets to mount to your chassis.

Welcome trubbs. I put a 93 12v in my 99 s/d. I used the stock cummins mounts, but had to modify the angle on the drivers side to match the angle of the ford crossmember. Then I drilled a new slotted vertical hole for the mount stud. I had to mock the engine in to get the right angle of the mount and mark the crossmember for drilling. I couldn't use conversion mounts since I used the getrag. I don't know if I would recommend the stock 89-93 mounts as they transmitt a fair amount of vibes. Good luck, keep us posted
