6.7 to 5.9 swap?
 

anyone know anything about doing this yet? simply replace the short block from a 5.9 to a 6.7? no replacement for displacement right?

Sound like with the money you would invest in this you could just beef up your 5.9 ALOT :humm:

ah ha. hmmmmm im not sure how hard it would be to switch em....... probably would still be better off just fixing the one you have already

I remember reading about a guy putting all the 5.9 stuff(ecm,injectors,turbo,etc) on a 6.7 when it first came out. I know it worked out good but I don't know all the details in what was involved.

Why downgrade?

If I could easily get another 0.8L of displacement I would do it. I would also classify it as a significant UPGRADE.

So you want to swap a 6.7 into your vehicle? The title reads the other way.
