Detroit Diesel Conversions
I'm putting a 4-53T Detroit in a 86 GMC and would like info on engine modifications for more power. Can I convert it to use the new 6v53 DDEC injectors, etc? Who are the Detroit experts? Thank's!

I'm considering a 4-53T for my rat rod.:rocking:
|
just be careful with the 4-53 have build a ton of them from people turning the rack up for more highway speed and the old things cant take the RPMs self destruct.

detroits rule, just make sure its ok to leak some oil on the ground where you park ;)
and yes gear your truck up big time, the redline on the little 4-53 is like 2800, even tho it sounds like 4k lol |
do it itd be pretty nasty to run down the road....just remember run it till the valves start to float, the cock it one more!!!!
