fummins speedometer cable
i was wondering how to hook the ford speedomter cable to the dodge 241dhd transfercase

i cant help you personally on this one but one thing i know is the ONLY part of engine and trans swaps i have ever done that I couldnt do on my own, was speedometers. i just go to the speedometer shop. the 94 12v you have should have an electronic VSS IIRC. and i dont know what the ford used. you might have to get a custom made box or something from the speedo shop thatll solve your problem. thats what i had to do

speedomter shop? i know the ford uses a cable off the head unit
|
You might contact United Speedometer Service,,,,, 909-684-0292 I think the guy I talked to is Carl. Been a few years. I did a 305 Chevy swap into a Frod Ranger, and he fixed me up with a cable. I know there is more involved in this one, but they might be able to help out. Worth calling to see,,,,,,,,,

speedometer is the last thing to do on my list. just got my truck registered yesterday so now i can make the 2 hour drive to the nearest speedometer shop. they quoted me 250 to get it all done and dynoed to insure its right. i dont know what theyll charge you but that might help you with a ballpark figure

$250 is a good price. Especially considering the cost of a ticket if you are guessing at your speed. What speedo shop are you going to??

do even know if there is one around here
