NV4500 input shaft

I want to put a GM NV4500 behind a cummins 4bt. I am Looking to swap the GM for a Dodge input shaft. My trans had 90,000 miles on it with no issues so far. Is there a consern about the gear wear pattern (new input with the old countershaft gear) or would this not be an issue

I have installed a new drive gear against an old gear and not had any trouble. The most it might do is be a little louder IMO.

what year trans? It's gotta have the newer 1st gear ratio (5.something not 6.something). You will need input shaft, the input shaft bearing retainer plate thing, and I believe you do need to run the dodge bellhousing and throwout setup. Thats how I did mine.

ya its the newer 5.something first gear just wanted to make shure i wont ruin the gear box like if you swap and axle ring or pinion with out replaceng the set

my trans has about 100k on it and I put a new input in it and everything is looking good so far, I inspect it every couple thousand miles.

So if i go with a dodge input and dodge bellhousing clutch ect. The 6bt flywheel will bolt up the the 4bt crank. Are the flywheels balanced the same for the 4bt and the 6bt. Or is this not an issue to worry about
