95 v10 dodge auto to 1st gen swap
I have a 95 dodge 2500 w/a v10 automatic 4x4 and want to put a 89 1st gen Cummins in it and have questions on exactly what I need to mate the Cummins and trans. Thank You.

the dodge gas input shaft is 1 1/8 10 spline on 94 and up.but it has a larger tip where it goes into the pilot bushing then chevy.also they did not use a 12 1/4 clutch in the gas model.only the v10 model used the same as the 5.9 diesel engine.if you are using a dodge flywheel on your 6bt you need to change the input shaft to the 1 1/4 dodge.but you have to have a 96 or newer chevy nv4500 to be able to swap them.you will need the front bearing retainer also for the dodge 1 1/4 with the race for the front bearing.the race is different from the 96 and up chevy nv4500 and the dodge nv4500.
