Dodge 1500 318-6BT Conversion

5 Attachment(s)
This isn't a dificult swap by any means. But I do want to put some of the pics up here so there is a bit of a record of my project. However, this was a bit more than just a conversion.

This truck started as a 95 2wd 1500 Dodge with a 318.

It is now a Cummins powered, back halfed, 4 linked, tubbed, nitrous fed, caged beast.

Here is a brief pictorial history.

I've also seen it in person, but the step by step pictures really give everyone an excellent idea of how much work you have put into this project!!!

How long have you actually been working on this?

HOTMOPR 06-14-2007 09:34 PM

x2... What the deal with non-IC?

An air to air intercooler doesn't benefit me enough to justify the extra weight on the front end of the truck. If I were to use a liquid to air intercooler then I could justify it. But, the A2A doesn't have much effect on a 1/4 mile drag race. You only spend a couple of seconds going fast enough to get enough airflow through it to be of any benefit.

So, chemical intercooling wins out.

Here's a new pic from the DFW Diesel Bombers GTG.
