6bt in a buick regal?

I was wondering if anyone knows of anyone that put one of these in a regal before. I have the car minus a engine. I just wondering if it could be done:humm:. It did have a Pontiac 400 in it.

Anythings possible.... Theres one with a duramax in it

yea I was reading about this from time to time. I do know you can get the d max in which might be a easier choice to do but the cost factor and working on these would be 3 x as hard. I just think a 6bt would be better because of no electronics....

thanks for the info:U:

yea, the only issues I see are the firewall and front end beef up...

Yea I was doing some measuring and it seems like the engine might be to tall...:booo:.

As far as the length it seems like it will fit fine.:U:

I have to find the dimension for the 12v motor again and look at it closer.

Yes I think you are right. It seems like it will sit 3 inches higher then the hood:argh::humm:

Yank both engine, and trani, then install the setup as a together unit.
As for the 3" of extra room needed; do a body lift.

If your turbo hose is your problem use an intercooler. Your air supply hoses will be routed foward instead of up, and over, and you might not need the body lift.

I saw an A-body '70 Monte Carlo with a '99 ISB 24-valve under the hood on youTube:c:
