something different I wanted to do a v8 just originally planned for a gasser but I have this sitting around and well look like it might be fun

Do alot of measuring, those toyota engine compartments aren't very big.

I'm running the LoMax in my Dana 300 behind a NP435 trans and a 300+HP Chevy 350. Never a problem. Get the twin sticks too you'll love the options it gives you.

I think it should live fine. And if you are interested, I have a pump shop that can make that 6.9 zing 4800rpm.............:U:

I know you can fit sbc and 5.slows I have seen some big block motors in them too I plan on shoving it back through the firewall and fenderwells are over rated anyways lol this is basically an offroad only truck anyways so yea I thought about having the pump done up and stuff but thinking I will just turn it up and hang an hx35 or hy9 or 2 off of it and call it a day

I will only doa twin stick it is awesome i wish my yota tcase with the twin stick was as cool as the dana 300 will be front digs are way to fun looking to miss out on lol

You better throw in some pistons and wrist pins in it if you plan on putting a HX35 on it. Those stock wrist pins do not like boost.

I have been told they hold up just fine to around 18 psi I dont plan on throwing alot to it just enough to get rid of some of the normal diesel drag

I had a 6.9 in like a 87 one ton with a banks kit on it. It run decent at around 8 lbs. of boost. I ended up turning the fuel way up and pegging a 15 lb. gauge. It run great but burnt the rings up in about 30,000 miles. I didn't know much about diesels then, if I had run an intercooler and backed off on the boost a little it probably would have lived. I had a ats system on one too, it run like poop! I bet a hy or late he351 would spool like the dickens on an old 6.9.

thats what I have been thinking I am not sure bout running an intercooler yet considering it is a trail only rig and wouldnt get as much flow as would really be needed to make the intercooler worth while thought maybe air-water or possibly building a dry ice box but not sure how long it would last to be worth while out on a hot day of rockcrawling.

Boost referenced water injection could be the trick on a trail truck.
