1972 Chevy K20

The front end and frame on a 1972 K20 strong enough for a 6bt?

Thanks

I would think I have seen one in that chassis before, not sure if any mods to suspension would have to be done or not. It might need some stiffer springs in the front but other than that I think it would be an easy swap, one I would love to do someday.

Yes it is.

Should be fine. Stiffer springs and let 'er buck.

Right now he has a 2004 Silverado 2500HD with the duramax/allison. He is pretty much impossible to please. He has 98,000 miles on it. Just recently had the injectors replaced (recall deal) He has the ujoints replaced about 20,000 ago and they are currently making all sorts of noise again. He loves that year of body style but wants something that will hold up better and pull better than what he currently has. I think it has help up rather well since it is his farm truck and he uses it to pull some 10-15 round bales of hay on a 10,000lb gooseneck trailer. Its been used and to only have had to replace the ujoints and have a recalled item replaced seems to be doing pretty darn good. I think I would have to beef up that 72' quite abit to make it last 100,000 miles with only the ujoints going on. Some people are never happy.
