The top solenoid on the IP needs a hot to run. The glow plug wiring can be done with some female bullet connectors a starter solenoid and a push button. I believe #10 wire will cary the current. 10 seconds max on when pushing the button to light the glow plugs. There is a list of Do/Don't brands of glow plugs to use. Some will swell and break off in the head.

The second solenoid from the top of the IP is for high idle when A/C is on. I have wired mine to a switch and tweaked it for a slightly higher idle when jump starting stuff..

Ty.

I figured out the gp wiring.
I ordered a set of gp's from accurate diesel. Used them before with good results. Also ordered a injector install kit. Im planing on getting injectors also. And a new solinoid for the ip

So the ip wiring just needs a switched hot from the ignition to work?

Yes, the IP just needs a keyed hot to work. Be careful removing the small bolts on top of the fuel pump. They break off easy if corroded.

When priming the fuel system, remove the fitting from the top of the IP and fill the pump with fuel. It will save a lot of cranking.

Be sure to use a pic up screen or filter prior to your lift pump. I just swapped an OM617 into a dakota and found some tank shaving causing a fuel starvation issue.
