Om617 jeep Comanche swap
I'm swapping the om617 into the Comanche. I would like to upgrade the turbo but I'm not real sure on what turbo or size to go with. I will be running a 3inch straight pipe and would like to turn the fuel up. Thanks for any answers.

read up on superturbodiesel.com, they have info on the pump and turbos

On the Mercedes car there is a little electric water pump. It connects to the hose for the heater core do you need that for heat to work on the jeep?

Are you sure it's not the heater control valve? Take a picture

Done some reading and it is a heater water circulating pump. At this point I'm try to get everything off the car that I might need be for I get rid of it.

So I have got the om617 in the Comanche and trying to start it. I have nothing hooked up vacuum wise do I need any vacuum line hooked up to make it run?
|
you only need vacuum to shut it down electrically if desired , and for power brakes and HVAC if equipped; as far as I know.
you will most likely need glow plugs if it is cold, and a very good battery and cables. have fun |
I'm getting a little fuel at injectors it fired off twice then just dies. I burnt up a jeep starter trying to get it running is there something I'm missing?
