mitsubishi s4s-dt in a 2000 f150
hey guys i am hoping that some one on here has dealt with these engines before. I am going to attempt to put this engine into a ford f150 4x4 and iny information would be great. the engine in question is a 2011 mitsubushi s4s-dt from a caterpillar 267 skidsteer.

THE ENGINE IS A 3.3 TURBO RATED AT AROUND 80 HP. I AM A CATERPILLAR MECHANIC AND HAVE EASY ACCESS TO ANY PARTS AND OR TECHNICAL INFO THAT MAY BE NEEDED. BUT MY BIG QUESTION IS DO YOU THINK IT WILL HAVE ENOUGH POWER TO PUSH A 4X4 F150 WITH LARGER TIRES. THE TRUCK IS A REGULAR CAB.

With tweaking I think you would be okay. The 2.2l kubotas have made 100hp/300+tq at the wheels and they are originally rate at 49hp. I am sure there is alot more power in that 3.3l. Is the motor computer controlled? How hard is it to mess with the IP and you would have to run a different turbo. How are you going to mate it to the f150 trans?

It has a Nippon Denso distributer style mechanical fuel pump. I also have a larger turbo for it but I'm not sure what it came off of I believe it was off of the six cylinder version of the same engine, and I need to find an adapter for te turbo. As for the trans adapter I'm gonna attempt to make it myself after I build the trans and get a low stall torque converter.
