97 12v into 02 f350
I got a 02 f350 with the 5.4 gasser :argh: and wanna put a 12v with zf6 tranny :tu: the motor is rebuilt and needs only a pump. I got a 70mm t3/to turbo for it. $1500 for the motor is a good deal right? Now for the zf6 transfecase can I use the one off the autotranny or do I need a certain one.
The whole point of doing this is to get rid of the gasser for pulling power and better mpg. I want it to be standard because I hate the slush box 4 spd I have in it. Do I need to change any electrical stuff if I swap from auto to standard? I know I'm forgetting a few things but just want to know if it is worth it:nope: Any implies would be helpful thanks |
I dont want to tell you thats a bad deal, however I bought mine from a junkyard complete fan-flywheel delivered for $1500 with 60,000 miles (97 215hp). These swaps get very expensive if you have to do it one piece at a time if I were to do it again I would have bought a complete truck for the swap. You will need a pedal setup off a 99 up 250-350 maybe someone else will chime in with the electrical I mostly do older trucks always standard! Also I would go with a nv4500 the zf isnt bad but you will spend more money buying the trans and adapters.
