V2203 Kubota motor mount saga

Like the title said, I have tried and failed several times but in the end came out a winner. First I started out with the old stock mounts in the Ranger, then after 2yrs they gave up. They weren't the best at keeping the vib's in ck but I figured they were worn so I got fluid filled oem replacements. I HATED them, so much I quit driving it. Next I tried the oem Mercedes mount thinking they would rock, NOT, way too soft, so much that I thought it would jump out of the engine bay (I didn't use the little shocks). So I tried the non hydraulic oem version and WINNER! So I guess you can go too soft.

Good news. Do you have a part #, or any pics?

Ago you are using stock ranger non liquid mounts?

The mounts are the OEM #2698 units. No pix, the mounts are in the factory location and I adapted the Benz mounts to fit, so going back to the OEM wasn't a big deal. I was shocked when the Benz mounts weren't any better at reducing the vib's , so I took a nylon strap and synched it down to hold the motor and it improved so that led me to believe it was too loose. So the only direction was to tighten things up so the stock non hydraulic mount seemed the way to go and it worked.

So you are saying you went back to the stock Ford Engine Mounts Correct?

If so then the Ford Factory type V 8 Late Model Mustang mounts should work well for this application?

Yes I'm using the stock mount, but non-hydraulic. I started out with the mount that came in the truck, not sure if they were hydraulic or not, but were definitely old and about used up. All I know is that the hydraulic replacements sucked-bad and the other are way better. I'm not sure weather the brand is a poor version or what, but that was my experience. Don't know about the Mustang mount.

Glad you got that worked out, it's bound to make the truck nice to drive again.
