Nissan Y60 Patrol - 6bt Cummins conversion

Hoping some knowledgable Cummins people can help me get this started.
The 1995 Cummins 6bt I have is from a generator (cpl 1519) and has had the turbo, injectors and pump stripped off it prior to me aquiring it. Other than parts being difficult to source in Australia I see this as a blessing as everything (cam, pump, injectors and turbo) can be matched right from the begining.

What should I do to get a strong, dependable 400+ hp at the flywheel and get this into my vehicle?

One thing at a time then. I need some help getting started here.
Is there a pump suitable for road use that will fit into the existing timing gear housing and gear train on the engine? or do I need to replace all of that to fit a new pump?
:c:

We are progressing, Have a P7100, lines, timing housing, brackets and a few other bits and pieces on there way. Still need to sort out what cam, turbo, injectors and pump mods to run to bring this all together. Anyone have some wisdom they are willing to share?

Been browsing down CPP's website and am thinking of the following
188/220 cam
Hamilton 165# springs and retainers
ARP studs
SD 62/65/14 turbo

and probably Cometic for a gasket set

No idea what injectors or pump mods I should be looking for.
The pump is 210hp off a 1998 Ford F650.
Anyone care to offer an opinion?

I would do a 4k gsk and 60 lbs valve springs, the afc mod, and fix you killer dowel pin. I would do 5x.012 injectors and leave the injector pump alone. Also if you can find out what cam is in the motor you might want to leave it alone the aftermarkets don't help very much until you get to higher hp (plus it's money you can use elsewhere) also are you going auto or stick? Oh yeah I would get a cummins gasket set you can find them on ebay from time to time for a reasonable price. Ducky Fuel Injection can help with most of the upgrades and they have the best injectors. As far as the turbo you need to give way more info. I would go onto cumminsforum.com and check out there newbie and tech section they have a general guideline for everything you want to know.

Thanks for your response. and for the vendor recommendation, no one in Australia plays with these engines so knowing where to shop is a benefit for me. The engine began life as a generator, 115hp @ 1500 rpm so I am assuming the cam will be no good for me but I really don't know. I realize turbo choice is critical because it all starts with how much air you have available to burn. Response off idle and still able to pass at highway speeds? Probably asking too much but any thoughts as to turbo choice? Transmission not locked in yet, vehicle is currently stick but I will probably get an auto built to go in with it.
Thanks again :tu:

depending on what your doing you could see 400hp with a he351 which you should be able to pick up fairly cheap on ebay. I would check the cam, more then likely its the same as in a pickup they just detune the motors you could always find a stock dodge cam for cheap and spend money elsewhere, like a three piece exhaust manifold etc.
