Kubota V2203 Glow Plugs. Has anyone Hooked them UP?

I wanted to ask if anyone has hooked up there Glow Plugs on there Kubota V2203 DI Engine?

I have read that it was not needed. But I thought heck if we have them how hard would it be to hook them Up?

Something simple like a push button switch with a light. The Glow Plugs are only on while holding the button down. :)

I found this thread ----> https://www.dieselbombers.com/chevro...-operated.html

But I am not sure why the OP said ( I only suggest installing this if you have self regulating glow plugs? ) Unless someone was to leave there thumb on the button for too long it could be bad for the Glow Plugs.

I hooked mine up. I just used a lawn tractor solenoid to power them, and put a push button on the column right above the ignition. No need for a light, I can hear the solenoid click very clearly. Also, it's handy for timing reference that my airbag light stays lit for exactly 10 seconds.

Same here, I used a simple 30 amp relay and a push button. Though the engine will start without glow plugs I believe it makes it easier on the engine if you do use them. :pca1:

Same here, I have only used them below 20 deg F. I haven't hooked the up proper, just a jump wire, next on the to-do list. It will start without, but as kubotaman said it just starts easier.

Thanks Guys.

I was thinking of something very simple as I am sure in South TEXAS it will not be needed all that often.
