Public Thanks to FTE. :)

I wished to Thank FTE for standing up to help me on my Long Journey to putting a V2203DI into my Mazda B-2200 Ex Cab. As of yet I have not had the time to do much of anything except to pick up a couple of Kubota's to play with.

I know this will not be a simple task due to the fact that the truck is a True Mazda. Of which means there is not a bolt in rear differential that can be had with a 2.73 gear for my conversion so I will have to look into what I can find to modify for the project.

Along with that of course are all of the mounts and pulleys for the engine driven accessories and the adapter from the Kubota to the Mazda 5 Speed.

Well at any Rate again Thank You FTE for your help as well as ongoing help with what seems an insurmountable task ahead. :tu:

Nope not as of yet but you will be the first to know what if anything is going on . :)

I was thinking of pressure washing them first and painting them Chevy Orange first lol. :) Or maybe even that industrial Grey :humm:

Well Today/Tonight lol. I got the stuff together to start one of the Kubota V2203DI Engines and to my utter surprise it started right up after a little help from FTE. So I took off a few little things and then proceeded to cover it up some Super Clean and power wash it. I think I need some Oven Cleaner and do it again lol. Then threw it on an Engine Stand for further work. As it will need right off of the bat a rear main seal I think and a valve cover gasket along with exhaust gaskets for when I remove the exhaust to remake a new one. Or at least that is the plan at the moment. :c: A Few pictures of the ending of Tonight's Carnage.

Oh by the way the filter screw looks HUGE. What should I do when I remove the housing to relocate the Oil Filter?

I do not know why the pictures do not show up?????

And if anyone wishes I will take a picture of the Banjo connection that was made for a fuel inlet? I may just leave it. :)

Great progress! Ya the pix aren't showing up. The oil filter elbo/housing unbolts with the 4 bolts, you just swap the threadded fittings for the filter.

Well I guess I will try some kind of a search to find a way to put up a picture? I also can not modify my posts to remove those huge black screens?

It looks like you may have the same oil filter screw that mine did, which was way too large for a standard oil filter. If you find that it doesn't fit an off the shelf filter, then the correct Kubota part is # 1a021-3229-0

JesterGrin_1 07-30-2013 02:10 PM

Ok I have to ask the Kubota Part 1A021-3229-O is that a smaller Oil Filter Screw that will fit a standard filter?

And may I ask where you order your parts from? As I will need a few gaskets and such as well as the screw. Thank You.
