2004 GMC Sierra 4x4 3500 Cummins conversion
Hi all, I'm new to the world of diesel, and am not mechanically savvy except for basic maintenance work. I took my truck to get an oilchange about a month ago, partially because I was in a hurry and didn't have all the tools, and partially because I was being a lazy bum. Well long story short it didn't go well and now I'm wondering how easy a Cummins conversion would be on my wallet and my body. The duramax was awesome, did over 300k before this happened but I heard that they aren't the easiest or the cheapest to work on. I have heard that Cummins was a great motor and being mated to that Allison transmission would be darn near a perfect truck. Any input would be greatly appreciated, looking forward to getting my hands dirty on this one :-)
