Hey gaines 12, Wyoranch, usedkubotaman, thanks for the info, trial & error because it makes it a whole lot easier on those who fallow. I think a kit is a great idea and I would be intrested in getting some components from you. I'm using a V2203 M-ES which I think is a tier 4 emission engine/ N.A. I bought a '94 4x4 ranger extra cab 'cause I could for see to many clearance issues with my original plan of using a toy T100. At 6000 lb.gvw auto trans.computer issues, trans & driveline mods. I.F.S.and steering clearance issues to name a few. I had to bail especially after hearing the sucess stories with the rangers and S10's. So I'm sure its not easy and no two are the same but the front clip is off and there's only one bolt left on the bell housing then the 4.0 gas guzzler is going to the bone yard.

Gaines12 09-25-2013 07:49 AM

Well im working on putting things together, but its gunna be a year or two before I have all parts together however I can get some parts made and sold on an individual bases now. Im working with the Kubota dealer out of California as far as parts source, also im going to buy another motor good or bad I don't really care, and im going to put it in one vehicle and make a setup that works then into another vehicle and so on so forth till I decide im done. But hopefully ill have a lot of options in a lot of vehicles. Ive got a lot of the tools and a lot of designs that are already done, and im working on making new ones everyday down here in school. So we will see how it goes! If you need an adapter let me know, Ive got some for the 4.0 transmission already.

kuyota toybota 09-27-2013 10:41 AM

I have had good luck with my local kubota tractor dealer 0n warenty replacement or just coustomer request pull out engines. There is usually a story on what happened and why they replaced the engine. The mechanic has a pretty good bone yard mostly V-3300 36OO AND 3800 . I scored a V-3300 T for $900. 'cause the turbo failed and it was black stacking. The customer wanted to change the engine anyway. The turbo kit cost me 50. bucks and I'm good to go. That ones going in the motor home along with a 2 speed rear if I can find one. I can see what AAron has down there and how much they want for them If you would like. Try checking with your Bobcat or Kubota tractor shops.

Gaines12 09-27-2013 10:48 PM

Ya if you don't mind see if he has any v2203 motors laying around good or bad im not pickey

kuyota toybota 09-28-2013 11:47 AM

V 2203

I will do some inventory next week and get back to you. There is a V2403 N.A. But im not sure if they want to part with it yet.

Gaines12 09-29-2013 08:37 AM

ok, I might be interested in some bigger motors as well depending on the price! Thank you, I appreciate it!

Gaines12 11-19-2013 12:51 PM

Havent been on here in a while, but im switching turbos to the K03-005 like Rangmar and I started rebuilding it today. Its a very simple task, took 20 min to tear down I have to take the parts to work tonight to clean them and then we will reassemble them in the morning. I will post pictures of the new adapter as well when they are done. We are making 6 so we will have 4 extras for sale. Also we now are going to machine flywheels for people and have one tranny adapter left for sale but can make more! Heres some pictures of the turbo and the tranny adapter:tu:

Price on the k03 to kubota adaptor?

kuyota toybota 11-20-2013 12:02 AM

V2203 turbo

Hey Gaines 12, yea turbos are pretty easy to rebuild I just ordered a replacement turbo for my wifes '99 saab 9-3 cause the price was so good well... they said it was the right turbo but I couldn't even use the cartrage the compression wheel and driven wheel was even deifferent. Shipping to Hawaii is costly and they gave me a big discount for screwing up I kept it 'cause I was thinking maybe it would work on the kubota its a T25 for a gas 2.0 ltr. So if there are any turbo guiniouses out there let me know it is designed to work with a intercooler. Do you think you will be cranking out any adapter plates that will work with the the m-series kubota tractor motors? I'd be down for one if you do. Just a thought, SAAB made a diesel begining in '99 wish I had one but the gas eng. gets 30 mpg and hauls A.. with the turbo. Good luck with your projects !

Gaines12 11-20-2013 08:47 AM

Not sure on the price of the adapter yet but I will let you know soon

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Unfourtunetly no progress with the m-series plate. I gotta be a bolt pattern first. I think the only way I could figure it out is with the bell housing cut away if you can send it to me when you get back if that's not to late for you!

Still got a few more to take tomorrow, I forgot my torque wrench so im not quite done!

JesterGrin_1 11-20-2013 01:37 PM

Well so far Sideways does not matter. Keep up the good work. And an explanation of some pictures would greatly help. :c:

Got to run and mess with Toilet Water. lol.

Rangmar 11-20-2013 03:18 PM

Wow there was a turbo under all that mess. Lol looks great. Any pics of the turbo adaptor yet?

And I thought I was relentless. :tu: I am pretty sure Gaines is asleep right now due to his night job. But I spoke with him earlier today and he informed me he might know tomorrow. As they will not know how much till they have completed a couple. But do not worry your name will be on one if you should wish. :c:

As a side note he also informed me that he may pre drill them and tap them to 1/8th NPT with a plug provided so if anyone should wish they can also use the adapter for there EGT probe.

And the Sloan Valve is fixed.

Gaines12 11-21-2013 01:13 PM

Havent checked on adapters yet will make a phone call in the morning. but yes thank you jester that's exactly what I plan to do is possibly predrill them and we will have 4 extras if I like the way they work out. So you both got dibs if you want them. I will try and get some instructions to add in with the pictures soon

Well I gotta admit I feel pretty stupid. Got my torque wrench and went to torque the nut on the turbine shaft and broke it in half.....:argh: So $157 and waiting till Monday later ill have a new exhaust turbine and shaft as the come in one piece.....

Should be done soon as long as everything goes as planned

dieselxj 11-21-2013 02:17 PM

Don't feel too bad. Last night I got distracted (by those who will not be named when she came home from work) just before I started welding the second to last operation on my turbo adapter, When I got back to it I clocked it 90 deg wrong. that was pretty much the half day I did get in the shop shot to $h%T. I can use the adapter, but it looks like crap with the EGT probe coming out in the complete wrong direction. I have not decided if I am going to make a new one or just suffer the consequences for my loss of concentration. I will hate it if I have to look at that thing every time I open the hood. probably will make a new one.
if you are putting a price on yours, think about the fact that on a manual machine it took a good half day to make, and that is being very optimistic, as I had the bottom flange already done.
yours look very very nice. I wanted to make mine out of a solid pieces of 1" or 1.25 plate, But that would mean a trip to town, and a lot of machine work on my tired old equipment.
I will ask again. how many cutters to make your CNC flange? what bores the big hole?
I switched from a cobalt boring bar to a carbide tipped bar, and the carbide did not last a week in the steel. I had had that cobalt bar for a very very long time. New cobalt 1/2" boring bar $55 delivered. Now I am too afraid to use my new cutter
About 8 years ago I had a chance to buy a Supermax CNC mill They sold 4 of them for under $1000 each. I had just bought my mill , so I did not get one. I really regret that.

yellow68gto 11-21-2013 04:39 PM

Gaines, I'm new here but what type of machine are you running? What do you use to program? I run a cnc shop with all Haas machines.

Gaines12 11-22-2013 11:23 AM

OK guys ill try and help you out the best I can.... We are using carbide cutters and we can make 2 parts with 1 cutter. WE are running Haas and Fadal mills. How ever I do not own or run the equipment. It belongs to a school I have connections with (long story) and they make my parts. I simply design them and tell them how it needs to be done. Then they build the parts. I basically do the engineering. Wish I could do the hands on part..... to bad mills cost so much and then mastercam to run them

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

We also have a lot of Bridgeports and Lathes, I forget what brands.... Although we do water jet part of the plates

yellow68gto 11-22-2013 12:55 PM

We have 4 Haas mills and a Haas lathe at work and I have a tm1 in my garage. I am trying to scrape up the money to do the engineering and design. Program everything on the console or using notepad on the comp. A cheap but useful software is bobcad. I have used it some. Gets the job done. But u get what you pay for. Your adapters are looking good

Gaines12 11-22-2013 01:20 PM

Thanks we are working on processing a patent and maybe starting a little business. If I can get prices down some more..... Wish I could get my own machines but I cant afford them! :humm: need to come up with something else

Gaines12 11-26-2013 01:53 PM

Well heres what ive been up to today.....

JesterGrin_1 11-26-2013 02:05 PM

OOOOOOOOOps Looks like you are in for some fun with your Front Differential.

As for the Adapter I am not sure what can be done as one side looks a bit thin?

Gaines12 11-26-2013 09:33 PM

Very Good to know. That way Myself and others know where things are. And when mounting accessories to mount them in such a way to give easy access to certain aspects of the Engine for future adjustment if need be.

Gaines12 11-30-2013 11:35 PM

Yes, I don't have a singe accessory on that side of the motor. their all on the other side

Gaines12 12-06-2013 11:56 AM

OK heres the update. Had to modify the turbo adapter. Still don't really like it! I don't have any pictures of it either but heres a picture on my two turbos the one in front is the rhf4 and the one in back is the k03-005 theres quite a difference. still have to go get a new fron diff case sense mine was cracked... prolly wont have it moving again till next weekend if im lucky! :td:

Atvracer114 12-09-2013 08:54 PM

Alright I know I'm late getting on here but my swap is starting to come along as you can see from the pictures above that Gaines12 put up. I helped him build his and it made me want one the second we got it running so now he is helping me build one. I'm hoping to have it going soon but still have a lot to do. If I could figure out how to put pictures on here I would. So if somebody could help me out with that problem that would be great. And I still have one finished adaptor plate left and just got material for 3 more and can get my hands on more so if you are interested let me know and hopefully we can make it work. Message me for details. They are the plates the Gaines12 has been selling for me.

Gaines12 12-09-2013 09:52 PM

Sam and I are also persuing a patent on these plates and working with a few different company's trying to mass produce them so that we can bring prices down some hopefully. They will soon be listed on his website and we will be keeping 10 to 15 in stock. Your also welcome to contact him for the adapter plates sense most of you gets parts through him. We are going to offer all of the bolts and any other hardware with the plates as well. And soon he will stock premachined and drilled flywheels so that all you have to do is ship yours in as a core. Sam I and will have several different packaged deals to offer. As our new resources will hopefully provide better operating terms
