Hi, i've recently begun the exact same swap. 1988 mazda b2600 4x4 that has a 5 speed with no motor. I also picked up an om617 out of a 1984 mercedes that came with the auto tranny. I want to mate the om617 to the stock mazda tranny. You had mentioned that you machined the flywheels from both the mazda and the mercedes so that you could bolt them together. I was just wondering if you could give me some specifics on how you machined them or any advice on the easiest way to complete this part of the project. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
