1970 F100 w/an International D301
Factory 4x hiboy, 4speed, Dana 200 t/c (single speed), originally a 390 I believe.
9" rear, 44 front, late '70's power steering, 3.54 gears and drums all the way around. Top speed of 55-60 with 36" Mickey Thompsons (not my choice). 20 mpg up hill, down hill and standing still. It's my son's truck, we're not the actual builder. I found it on craigslist in Portland and took almost a year fighting title issues, but now that's resolved. Previous owner is/was an equipment operator up and down western Oregon. Maiden voyage was to WY for deer/antelope, and I spent more time under the hood and under the chassis than hunting but it sure was fun and he got his deer (1st Muley). If he doesn't sell it I'm gonna put the "little grey box" under it this winter I'm sure it originally came from N Cal as there's a Mt Shasta decal on the front bumper, and "the parking sticker" on the pass corner of the windshield. The last pic says it all If anybody out there has more info, that'd be great. DAMBIT HEGEL!!!
You say the word and I'll hunt down that slithering worm that ruined your Grandfather's creation with a 460, then throat-punch him for his flagrant and wanton destruction of true Americana......you say the word..... |
Haha it's sad but ok. That truck had maybe 100 hp and no pwr steering weighing about 10000 lb
Some day I'll build one more capable than his Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
