96 pump issue

When installing 191 DV's I found out that the thing you drop it in that's held down by two nuts #6 was tig welded cause of a crack. Are they hard to replace? Can I pull it right out after removing the nuts? And where can I purchase a replacement:argh:??????

sounds like your talking about the barrel for the plunger and if so they run around $135 each from about any pump shop and the pump has to be completly torn down and the cam removed from it to replace it

can you take a pic of it and show us?

Yup the barrel! Great I'll get my guy to pull it today but after pump shop labor and part I can just order a pump for 500 or so or try to weld the cra:bat:ck?????

Yep you will be less money to just buy another pump. I would be interested in your core pump

With my luck I better keep the core pump! I spent yesterday pulling broken flex plate from my 93 F350 7.3 happy Thanksgiving
