99 CTD leaving me stranded!!
 

Hey ya'll, got a problem. Got a 99 Cummins and it's acting funny. It has a rebuilt VP last year, also I run an AirDog. The other day I was driving it and it cluttered and then I had no throttle responce. Engine was idiling rough, pulled over unplugged the Quad and reconnected stock MAP and she cleared up and ran fine. Now today driving home like usual and it did it twice! Both times I pulled over and shut off truck and disconnected/reconnected battery and did the APPS re-cal with the pedal. It's weird because truck is running but I ain't got no gas pedal until I pull over and reset battery. HELP PLEASE!!!! Thanks guys. Just trying to prepare myself if I have to buy an APPS.

sounds like its time for an APPS. have you checked for codes? doing that it will be one of two things, the VP44 or the APPS and im leaning towards the APPS

I was thinking APPS also, just not stoked about a $330 sensor. No codes since everytime it happens I disconnect the battery.
