1994 Dodge Cummins stuck in 4th gear? Help!
 

Hi All,
I joined here to see if you can help me out. I have my #1 son's 1994 Dodge Cummins 12 valve 5 speed pick up truck here on our farm. He is in the National Guard and had to go to a 3 week Guard thing, so I am storing/babysitting the truck.

My #2 son says the truck is stuck in 4th gear. It was not driven off the farm. He was moving it--he backed it up, put it in first gear and pulled up a little bit. He says it is stuck in 4th gear and won't come out. He says the stick shift stick is very floppy.

I was wondering where to start looking for a fix for this. Is there a sensor, a pin that holds the stick shift stick, etc? I was going to look at it, or have #2 son look at it. I just hate that the truck isn't working for when #1 son comes home from Guard assignment. Thanks for your help! Ann from KY
