96 cummins 12v blown head gasket...

aright, so, im kinda new into the diesel world, and i just bought a 12v cummins, and the head gasket blew. anyone have any or know of any good tutorials or walk thru's for changing them out? any tips or tricks anyone knows of to make it go smoothly?

dont forget to loosen the valve lash off before you bolt the rocker pedastals back down, and to get the rear pushrods out you have to take the rubber plugs out of the bottom of the cowl and then lift them up in there then back down and out other then that its pretty easy

yea, i actually got all the pushrods out easily, the headstuds on the other hand not so much, the tops had been ground down by the previous owner in order to let them fit under the valve covers. im thinking of buying new studs (APR's stud kit) for it and if i do what do you suggest for making them fit under the covers? grinding them down doesnt seem like the smartest idea . . .

I've blew two on my last truck...but that was 60+ Lbs of boost and nitrous lol.
High boost on a cold motor will blow HG's left and right as will high drive pressures.
