My t/c holds 10 liters, and pan has 6 liters. Any on the dipstick? Sounds like you need more oil.

yea when i put my trans back in it didn't do anything and was suckin the fluid down.. it takes a minute for it to get all circulated and when its full it will feel much better

turbostang7 12-12-2010 06:30 PM

may sound stupid but i have done it, are you sure you hooked up the linkage?

steven-o 12-12-2010 07:50 PM

i added four more qts and the rpms dropped a tiny bit in d.2.1. but still no movement i also let it run in nutrual. for about 15min

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

also my dipstick isnt the right one because it seems very short

From one dipstick to another...get a new (correct) dipstick.

I am going to tmrw

kazairl 12-12-2010 09:23 PM

Fully dry A 47re will use close to 17 quarts. More if you have a better Torque Converter or a deep pan.

Mine with a deep pan used almost 2 cases. (12 in a case right?)

steven-o 12-12-2010 10:33 PM

this is a pita

kazairl 12-12-2010 11:50 PM

Would this be the Torque Converter I just sold you?
