Large oil puddle under 1999 powerstroke

I started my 1999 powerstroke this morning in cold weather and let it warm up for about 15min. I then noticed a large oil puddle under it. This truck has never leaked a drop of oil. It looks like it is coming from the driver side somewhere in the front of the engine around the power steering pump. This is engine oil for sure. The truck starts fine, idles fine and the oil pressure is fine. Any ideas?? Thanks!

cooler?

engine oil cooler. runs along the drivers side of the block from the oil filter housing forward and its sealed with o rings. i would crawl underneath and check the front of it

Are you sure it's oil? Seems like a lot of fuel drain valve (o rings) have this happen in cold weather.

I had the same problem, I bet it's fuel. It sounds like the problem. The o rings for the drain on the fuel bowl. Take the drain off the fuel bowl and be ready to catch the fuel that'll flow out and replace the o rings on the mating surface. Did mine and it doesn't drip a drop.

if that was oil your oil pressure would not be fine. when you got to a light it would fall on its face. its not oil. its probably fuel. take care of it NOW. i'm guessing you dont have a fuel gauge so your pressure might get low enough to destroy your injectors. and if it was powersteering you wouldn't be able to steer.

mine did the same thing, my oil pressure was fine, when the seals warm up they sweal up and stop leaking,

if theres a huge oil puddle under your truck and your oil pressure gauge reads fine your gauge is broke

GOOD ONE!!! I 2nd that. Its got to be Either Fuel, or IT IS OIL, and Your deffinition of Alot of oil is different than mine. Either way. Dont drive it!!! LOCATE THE LEAK. Just wipe everything down, Pull the stick, if its low.....ADD OIL. then fire that B*** up and watch for a leak.

Good Luck

no mine was fine cause after letting the truck run for about 4 min the leak stopped, so then after that my oil pressure was fine, but ither way get it checked out asap!!!!!
