wont start 04 ram 2500 diesel fuel filter, batteries, and vacuum line worked on
 

just changed the fuel filter, and had both batteries unhooked, hooked all back up, hooked up a vacuum line that had become disconnected, put the clean fuel filter in and closed and went to start the truck and the alarm went off. Then the truck would start and then die. Now all it will do is try to start. Any ideas? Any help would be great thanks.

Sounds like its in theft mode try unlocking door with key or key fob try both doors also may have "skim" key system which you must use correct key skim keys have a grey handle non are black most of the time though a skim system will cease to crank after 3 start and stall events my thoughts hope it helps

well I tried unlocking the door with the key in the door handle as well as unlocking the door with the key fob. Still just cranking over but no start, any other ideas. I also had the key turned in the on position for an hour and then tried to start and still nothing. any other suggestions?

ok today I put the battery charger up to the battery and kept the key in the on position for many hours. I got the truck to finally start after pumping the gas petal. It ran for a few seconds with my foot on the gas and then died. I just seems now that it is not getting any fuel. I opened up the fuel filter compartment and their is fuel in the compartment any other suggestions?

I'm guessing still not running sorry been pretty busy here's a "SWAG" try disconnecting both batts. again let sit 15 mins or so have key fob handy upon reconnection of batts use fob to lock doors then unlock then attempt to start PS leave windows down and key out of ign. hope it works I'll do some more research this eve. and check back 2morrow:humm:
