HELP!!! Leaking diesel from injectors or rail

Have an 03 Chevy extended cab long bed 2-wheel drive... and i am leaking diesel from either the very last injector on the driver side or the one before. After going through an immense goat rope with the stealer(priority chevrolet, can suck my foot long:bat::bat:) and Chevy(they can suck my foot long too:bat::bat:), about them fixing the work (injectors were replaced at 47K miles under warranty, with my BANKS stuff installed-everything but the intercooler) they are now leaking (67000 miles) and the stealer and Chevy wont even diagnose my truck because of the banks system on my truck, again been on there since i had 5K on the truck. :argh: Needless to say, i am leaking diesel super bad, to the point a puddle develops under the truck when sitting there at idle. any ideas or a good diesel mechanic suggestion in the Virginia Beach/Hampton roads area would be of great help. When lying underneath the truck, you can see the diesel dripping off the drivers side head. but up above with so much crap in the way its difficult to pinpoint exactly where it is leaking from. :humm:I am also now getting a low oil pressure light when the truck is under boost, but a check of the dipstick and she is full up, any thoughts?????? want to get her fixed RIGHT, and sold to a new owner, as i sold my camper and a sportbike trialer doesnt need a diesel. Thanks

Ok, fuel leak. You could have an injector line leaking under pressure, or a line may not be tight enough. You will have to sift through all the crap on top of the motor to see. Otherwise, it may be a return line, but I can't remember exactly where those are located on an LB7. As for your oil pressure, you need to test that mechanically. How long since your last oil change? Oil level is full, but is it too full? AKA is diesel fuel diluting the oil?

I would also squat in the service managers office. Basically you are having an issue with a repair previously performed by that dealer. I would give the manager the opportunity to take care of it, then I would look into the Better Business Bureau for additional assistance. These guys can work wonders.

Still leaking, more questions

All right the fuel leak after digging around the engine today the fuel is definitely leaking from where the injector goes through the valve cover into the head, right at the base of the nut below the retaining clip. checked the passenger side and it seams consistent with both back injectors (seams like a faulty installation) If this is the case how do you tighten the injectors or take them out to see if they are bad, if they are bad how do you know? and how do you re-install them??

as far as the oil pressure goes, going to change the oil tomorrow (was to nice a day FINALLY not to ride, if only diesels were as easy as sportbikes to work on :humm:) might even take it to jiffy lube and have them do the engine oil flush on it. (where the cycle the oil through the engine until it comes out clean) will post on here if that clears the low oil pressure fault. Also it might have something to do with the gauge, as it is reading way off... read that was a common problem with the motor's on the gauges, think that may be the low oil pressure warning? also how do you check the oil pressure mechanicly, on a diesel? Also if there was diesel in the oil, how do you tell??? thats what i thought too, but the oil smells like normal sooted Rotella-T oil, no diesel smell to it at all...

Thoughts???:humm::humm:

as far as the stealer goes the service manager would not even talk to me on the phone, and I've refrained from going up there, since being a bit of a hothead might do something stupid but i did call and get the complaint paperwork from the BBB sent to the house.

Thanks for the post Diesel Nut :c: look forward to hearing your reply and any other posts :tu:

So i changed the oil 10 fresh new quarts of Rotella-T, oil pressure is still completley random, and all over the place, the gauge seams to be reading 90 degres out so when it should be reading at 60 PSI its way past 120... read horizontal pointing to the right. The next time i start it, its at 120 then fluctuates up and down... everytime i've started it since i changed the oil the oil pressure gauge has been random at best, the engine feels good except for the mild vibration from the leaky injector.

Is there an oil pressure sending unit? If so where? and how do u change it?

Having a diesel mech at my command look at the leaking injectors will keep you posted.
